The latest and greatest new attractions to discover in Dubai

Dubai Frame

Dubai frame is a unique structure built to resemble a huge picture frame through which Dubai’s landmarks old and new can be seen in stark contrast from each side.

The lower part of the frame houses a gallery museum that embodies the concept of the attraction and tells the story of the evolution of the city, while the upper part, accessible through glass elevators, serves as an observatory, providing uninterrupted views of ‘New Dubai’ with its high-rise towers from one side and the older parts of the city or 'Old Dubai' with its historical landmarks on the other.

Bluewaters Island and Ain Dubai

Located just off the coastline next to the vibrant Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), Bluewaters Island is a new lifestyle destination with spectacular promenades that offer a myriad of alfresco dining, retail and leisure attractions.

Rising as the centrepiece of the island is Ain Dubai (Dubai Eye), the world’s largest and highest observation wheel, offers breath-taking views of Dubai’s coastline and iconic landmarks such as Burj Al Arab, Palm Jumeirah and Burj Khalifa. The piazza at the base of the wheel is set to be a unique venue for national celebrations and events.

Providing a new waterway for the city, the canal is also considered a landmark of Dubai, with walkways and cycle paths connected by pedestrian bridges that run across both sides of the canal.

The canal also presents new areas measuring 80,000 square metres for public leisure developments, including parks, marinas and various other attractions.

The facility mimics the habitat to the point of regulating the temperature and humidity levels so that visitors can not only see what life is like in such an ecosystem, but can also have a vivid first-hand experience.

Upon entering the origami-style glass building, visitors are greeted at the ‘Flooded Forest’ for a first look of the extraordinary forest floor, complete with a giant aquarium filled with species such as arapaima, arowana and graceful stingrays. Visitors are then guided to the top of the bio-dome where they are presented with a panoramic view of the largest indoor, man-made and life-sustaining tree in the world. As visitors slowly descend through the biome, via a winding path alongside its periphery, they will have unique encounters with exotic and tropical animals, from majestic South American toucans and crocodile lizards to pre-hensile tailed porcupines.
